Opulent Antique Victorian 19th Century Charmeuse Silk Bodice With Rich Metallic Lame Brocade Floral Detail


This bodice dates to the Victorian 19th century and is made of a champagne charmeuse silk satin and is sewn by both machine and hand. The interior bodice is lined in polished cotton with a hook and eye closure. The bodice is sharply pointed in both its front and rear, its sleeves are short with a large puff fullness. The entire neckline is covered in a rich golden metallic lame brocade floral pattern that is highlighted in fine pearl details. There are several small splits that have begun in the brocade but condition is otherwise pristine, show room new and unworn in its appearance. Measures 32 inches around the bust, 26 inches around the waist, and 14 ½ inches in length from shoulder to bottom edge.
