This is a beautiful Victorian black satin capelet with a high ruffled and black cotton lace collar. Inside lined in purple satin and there is a single hook closure at front of neck under a black satin bow. High collar is 14" around and cape is 17" long. There is some fading on purple lining and small deteriorated and tiny torn spots on lace and satin bow in front, very small and not noticeable, otherwise very good antique condition. Ruffled collar and full black body of cape are excellent.
