  Exceptional Antique Victorian Mourning Cape    From a fine Connecticut estate collection comes this exquisite antique long lace mourning  cape.   It measures 45" in total length; 16" across the shoulder seams. This original black satin petticoat is of the Victorian era.  It's gored with the bottom 7" perimeter consisting of a series of small tucks and two rows of narrow black velvet ribbon.  It has a 28" waist and at some point in time someone added a zipper for a more finished look I suppose.  The length is 37 1/2".  It's a very lovely petticoat… full details here
