2 Beautiful Victorian Silk Nightgowns

One with Crocheted Top, 2nd with Beautiful Crocheted

And Embroidered Work, Silk Bottoms

 

Today I have for your viewing these two victorian silk nightgowns. One is a peach silk bottom with a beautiful all crotched top with pink ribbons decorations on bodice and sleeves, pull closures. The second one is a light pink silk with off white crochted top with a butterfly embellished into the design of the yolk.(see photos) SAtin ties on sleeves and on the neckline.All measurements were taken laying flat, so be sure to check my measurements with your own for a perfect fit. I have not cleaned or done anything to hem. I will leave that up to the buyers. They are coming straight from the estate to your viewing..Please ask all questions before bidding because I do not take returns. VINTAGE: 1900's

MATERIAL: 100% Silk with  Crocheted Yolks and Tops

MEASUREMENTS: 1st Gown on Manequin: Length: 48" inches, Armpit to armpit: 18" inches, Empire crochted waist seam to seam: 17" inches, Waist: 26" inches, Hips: 29" inches full, Shoulders: 15" inches, Sleeves: 14" inches from neck, Hemline:32" inch seam to seam. 2nd Gown: Length: 51" inches, Armpit to armpit: 21" inches, Waist: 25" inches, Hips: 28" inches, Sleeves: 8" inches, 6" inches seam to seam on end, Hemline: 32" inches. Satin ties on both on sleeves and in front of bodice.

CONDITION: The gowns,I have done nothing with them The crotched tops are perfect. The silk bottoms have one or two places on the bottom part of the gowns,first one is on the back area of the seat area. The second one has couple of spots that need to be cleaned. Basicallly the gowns are still wearable but i decided to sell them together and to put for study or display.They both were in trunk with other vintage things and they are coming straight to the auction. They are vintage so I am sure that there is minor flaws but,they are still very wearable and has many years of life left in them.You will love the look and fell of these vintage silk gowns. I would say they are a size medium to large size.

We have no idea if the people smoked, drank or had all kinds of exotic animals in their houses. So, if you have terrible allergies or asthma, maybe you should reconsider buying vintage clothing. Because they usually have been in storage in attics, basements, trunks etc.We always recommend to our buyers to have the clothes or accessories cleaned or freshened to their own specifications. We do not clean or wash any of our items. They are sold directly from the estates and other places to the Ebay auctions.So,Please, If you have any questions please ask before bidding. My daughter smokes and we have friends and family that smoke and visit us . We also have two bull mastiff dogs, that are couch potatos.
